Finding a special string?

William's beard will grow over time (The beard is thinner than Wilsons, and will give much less beard hair and much less insulation. I just added it because I love realism.). When you shave, he'll shave back to the first level of his usual mustache and beard. If you try to shave again, he will always say "There isn't even any stubble left!" changing:
